After doing some work on the house (and messing up my back, twice) I’m finally able to do some track laying!
I soldered the joints and glued the track down with white glue in five sections.
Then I added some timbers to attach the Caboose Industries ground throws to. I’m going with Caboose Industries ground throws this time because I wasn’t super happy with the Fast Tracks Bullfrogs on the last layout.
I also drilled the holes for the power feeders for the track and the turnout frogs. No picture because it’s not very exciting. The drill bit did manage to grab and pull up the track on the large curve on the left, so I’m having to glue that down again.
The next step will be installing the ground throws and wiring up the power. Then I can test run some locomotives and cars to make sure the track is good before I ballast and start the scenery.
